7/14/2023 0 Comments Shuttle from denver to steamboatI will certainly do that next time to avoid the stress. To do this, I would say either call Go Alpine directly and choose your departure time, or lie on the online form and say you are on an earlier flight so that you get an earlier pickup time. If it’s three or more, I would recommend allowing more than 2.5 hours before flight time for your pickup. I would recommend trying to figure out how many flights are leaving from Hayden around the same time as your flight to gauge how chaotic the checkin will be. The moral of the story is that 2.5 hours might seem like plenty of time to get to the airport and checkin, but it's not. When we eventually got through security and to the gate, they had already started boarding. Their directions weren’t entirely clear to everyone, and it was in a word, chaotic. To make a long story short, the gate agents had were swamped and eventually had to ask people for the later flight to Chicago to make way for the earlier flight to Newark so that they could make it on the plane. Three flights going out at the same time. I believe Jet Blue also had a flight around the same time, but that's it. United had one flight to Newark, and one to Chicago. When we arrived at Hayden, there was a huge line for the United checkin. We also had one more pickup to make, so I was starting to get nervous. Note that the shuttle was already half full when it arrived, so this was only to load the gear of maybe 8 people (I'm guessing). OK, no big deal, but I think it took at least 15 minutes for all of the gear to be loaded. Wrong on two counts: First, the shuttle was around 5 minutes late. It's a small airport with few flights I thought. My thought was that with around a 1/2 hour trip to the airport, this would give me around 2 hours to check in. My flight was at 1:00pm, and the pickup was 10:35. 40 west for another 51 miles and you have arrived. Follow Highway 9 for about 37 miles before turning onto U.S. For the return trip, the pickup time was based on the flight information I provided. Take I-70 west from Denver and use Exit 205 to merge onto Colorado Highway 9 North/Blue River Parkway toward Silverthorne. Passengers can load the buses from Denver Union Station, which is a direct train ride from Denver International Airport. I thought this was a little odd, but we were in no hurry, so it was no big deal. There are two options to shuttle from Denver to Steamboat Springs including the Bustang and the Snowstang. The shuttle bypassed our hotel to deliver passengers to condos up the mountain first and then dropped us off last. The ride to Steamboat was on time and comfortable. We used Go Alpine from and to Hayden last week.
